I've got 2000 miles now.. and it's really a terrific car. I loved my 2001, but always felt that knobs are the superior control, in a hurry, without diverting eyes from the road, the buttons always seemed less intuitive. The knobs on the hvac and stereo are SO good. Love.

Totally dig the look, now, totally dig the contrast upholstery on my black seats, totally dig the VASTLY better remote unlocking range. XM is a fun new toy. OnStar dialing is much better. Dash lighting is a nicer palette. Steering wheel is very good (and I thought the previous one was perfect). Wheel rims are gorgeous.

My rants are few.. the new floormats, personalized or not, started pilling and looking 5 years old at 400miles. Super cheap, but nothing could be easier to fix than floormats. The sunroof deflector r-e-a-l-l-y should have been re-engineered or eliminated. Clicking and ready to break like my last 4 deflectors already. The white cargo cover is an odd change which is going to be pretty hard to keep snazzy after a few years.

Other than that I'm still in love with this car. I wouldn't have minded a new 5-series wagon, but certainly not with their iCrash/iDrive controls, nor pointless X-drive AWD and not for literally, $20,000 more. The 9-5 is a stellar value for a stellar vehicle.
