The price difference is an interesting question. If one REALY NEEDS a dreaded SUV, the Acura, which is probably the best of it's class and the most fuel efficient, if an SUV can be qualified as efficient, can be had in Canada for about the same price as in the USA, but in CANADIAN dollars. Now, that's a deal. I guess Honda figured it would not sell many of them at 70 000 $. The fact that it is assembled in Canada might help a bit also but I doubt it has a big impact. Just shows how much they are making on this luxury, dangerous gas-guzzlers.
We paid about 42,000 for a base 9-5 with sunroof, heated seats front and back, no leather (love the cloth seats) about a year ago. As of today, that amounts to 26, 460 US$ How much would one have paid for a similar car in the US a year ago?
