The pressure side fuel line on our '02 9-5 blew off last Friday while my wife was driving on the freeway. A passing Volvo alerted and flagged her down. It was leaking really bad but not totally disconnected because the car kept running. In just a few minutes we lost 5+ gallons of gas. When I arrived (car off), I flipped the back seat up and checked the pump access panel. The pressure fuel line under the yellow tab had come loose. The tab was not broken but it was weakened and not holding as tightly as the return side.

My local dealer sold me the part # 12806113 for $3 and in 5 minutes, both lines were secured and I had it back on the road.

I would strongly recommend this as preventive maintenance--very cheap insurance. In a worst case, you can get stranded or have a fire.

My wife was pretty unnerved by it so I filed a complaint with NHTSA. See incident 10183329 if interested.
