Alternate SID DIY - I see the light

Just something I wanted to share with the board. A couple years ago, I tried the foam insert fix for my SID - at that time it was impossible to read. With the fix, some came back - I could make out some numbers, sometime. Before buying a new one, I tried one last effort to fix it - and it worked (although it can test one's patients and eyesight!) I took a razor blade and pressed a line in the center of each of the ribbin cable's connections onto the circuit board. It worked wonders! I have all my SID lights back!
Apologies if this has been posted already!
