won't crank after warmed up plus alarm goes off

Hi, my 2001 95 Aero auto tran with 77K miles won't crank when warmed up. I assume that it is not the CPS crank position sensor because it would still crank. When warm and I turn the key, the electronics turn on such as dash and headlights, fan etc but no attempt to crank. After waiting 15 minutes to up to 1.5 hours yesterday, it will crank fast and run perfectly. I do not know if this is related but about two months ago, the service theft alarm light lit. About four days ago, I locked the car with remote and in one minute as I was walking away the alarm went off. I reset with key and it was ok. I tried searching this BB for answers but the only possible answer that I am finding is that the alarm may be caused by a low alarm battery. Any help or comments are very much appreciated! ToddH
