Cracked windshield and cracked tooth!

What a day! My wife borrowed my 2001 Aero Wagon for her commute and took a BIG rock in the lower left corner of the windshield. It left a golf ball sized crater and several radiating cracks, the longest over 18 inches. And then at dinner I cracked an incisor by biting my salad fork.
The tooth can wait until next week, but I need to know about windshield replacement.
Should I have the dealer do it, or is a local auto glass shop ok? Does the Saab free maintenance program or warranty require that repairs like this be done at the Saab dealer? Any special things to be aware of? Any preferred glass manufacturer? PPG makes good glass (isn't that what PPG means - "Pretty Good Glass"?) that is more rock resistant than the Audi glass, from what I have heard. Does anyone know how the Saab glass compares in quality to the aftermarkert glass suppliers?
Any advice greatly appreciated, esp from someone who has gone through this already with a 9-5.
Thanks.
