New dash cupholder use -- phone mount!

I had two problems -- the neat dash cupholder that can't hold US sized stuff (thus was useless), and my disdain for the Saab phone mount (that IMO intrudes on the passenger's legroom and is too low and far away from the driver) -- that were solved over the weekend with one solution: a $20 phone mount that mounts in the cupholder! Since I have three drivers who use my three cars (2 9-5's and a Grand Caravan), it made the integrated OnStar and/or the Cellport too expensive (plus the Saab's are leases). So three car chargers ($10 apiece) 3 handsfree 'earplugs' ($20 apiece) and 3 cupholder mounts ($20 apiece) and I'm good to go for 3 cars. Relatively inexpensive.
The mount actually keeps the phone close to eye level, and doesn't seem to get in the way of anything. It definitely wobbles, but that's the nature of the cupholder -- it's in there solidly (the mount adjusts). I know there are plenty of folks who swear by the other ways, but I need to have privacy at times when others may be in the car. It's perhaps not the best setup, but it may be worth a try for some of you who have also not found a satisfactory solution as yet.
