B235R Viggen Engine swap Posted by Viggen Aero [Email] (#977) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Viggen Aero) on Thu, 27 Mar 2008 13:04:36 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi, I posted this on the 9-3 board, but figured I'd post here as well since Aero's have same engine:
I plan to install a known good and complete B235R from a 99 Viggen with 120K into my 01 Viggen with 155K. Blew a piston and seized engine. Are there any differences between the two years that will cause any issues? Besides the seals, pulleys, belts, clutch, etc. what should I check or consider replacing while the engine is still out of the car? Replacement engine always had synthetic oil and regular changes. I imagine I should still pull the oil pan and check for sludge. What else should I do/ look for?
thanks
