Brentley,a 9-5 is a great car, after owning few c900-none of them were a turbo(which i still believe are the most beautiful things on four wheels),i wanted to upgrade, and the saab 9-5 was the most obvious choice.I bought mine a month ago(i've yet to post the pictures-----i'll try to do it soon),the car i got is a 2004 aero wagon with a stick shift,40k on the clock, two tone interior..........the car...hmnn...........no words to describe it.I love it ,i love it ,i love it...........the 4 cyl engine is "magnifico",i mean you could hear the engine is there, but for a 4 cyl it is very quiet and smooth(at least in my experience). And after driving it ,i don't think i'll ever upgrade to a bigger engine, well maybe the Turbo X in 10 years. And when the turbo kicks in......it's like nothing short of extraordinary ..............it is just crazy to get so much torque and power from a small engine like that, and boy does it go.Im very happy, but before i bought it i researched a lot, read hundreds of reviews, asked a lot of questions from saab aficionados, and everybody said the same thing.."it is a car to get"........" boy ,is it FUN" .Practicality, safety, reliability,oh yeahh the looks ....superb machine.I hope you will find the car you are looking for.Good luck..
The car is like a bear that is hibernating(so timid),but once awake ,you don't want to be near it(i mean actually you do ).hahah
