Is the outboard pad affixed to the caliper? If the outboard pad is not affixed to the caliper by use of an anti-squeal compound, it might be twisting slightly in the caliper and grabbing the rotor briefly after each stop.
For my latest brake jobs I have used an anti-squeal compound made by CRC. Two small plastc squeeze tubes blister packed together. One tube will do all four calipers. Dries to a red rubbery goo that holds the pad to the caliper.
Brake grease on the machined caliper surfaces where the pad ears slide, and on the caliper pins, may also help.
