Actually Joe, if it is a four cylinder car that you are looking for, it would have been possible to get the identical car as either a basemodel plus the right options, or as a dealer delivered SE model. Saab made the SE four cylinder version as a stop gap measure since V-6 production was lagging behind, and they had already created the differentiation of a SE model.
Upgrading the audio system to the HK version meant installing the rear deck speakers and the higher powered amp. The five spoke wheels were an easy swap, and put a lot of three spokers on the market as snow tire package wheels. Heated seats were probably ordered in the vast majority of cars, as was leather interior. Vented seats were kind of limited in 99, and were not a SE standard feature anyway. Memory drivers seat could be ordered as an option in a base car if you wanted to wait for it.
Bottom line is that as for four cylinder cars, as long as the one you are looking at has the options you are interested in, don;t worry if it had the SE badge or not. If it is the six you want, chances are it will be a 2000 or newer, since very few 99s were V-6 cars.
