Help! with Air intake install Posted by jgARC03SW [Email] (#1216) [Profile/Gallery] (more from jgARC03SW) on Mon, 6 Oct 2008 17:39:44 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I tried to install the air inlet pipe that I got from Genuine Saab in the 90 minutes between getting home and sunset, and like almost everything else I have tried to do myself, didn't go too well the first time, despite reading three different guides online or in the haynes repair manual. I loosened the hose clamp easily (wasn't rusted totally) but the pipe would not remove from the air cleaner box. I pulled and pulled and thought I would do some damage with the car on jack stands since the whole air cleaner assembly was moving but the pipe would not come free.
It took me well after sunset to get the plastic shield back on behind the front bumper.
