I don't have a 9-5 but technically speaking, the Sweet Spot is probably at a much lower speed (like 45-50 mph). Aerodynamic drag force quadruples with a doubling in vehicle speed. I guess you would have to know the fuel usage of the engine at various engine rpm and on an automatic, you would have to be in torque converter lock-up mode. I guess the only way to verify is by experimenting with cruise control. With all that being said though, there may be instances in which a slightly higher vehicle speed might get you a bit more fuel economy than a slightly lower vehicle speed.
I've always thought of trying to find the optimum highway speed to see how far I could go on a tank of gas but who has the time? It would also be kind of embarrassing to have to drive with your emergency flashers on for a whole 600 miles or so.

gotten 35+ mpg before averaging about 68 mph (construction allowed only lower speeds and also alloed me to draft other vehicles) It was a warm summer day with worn tires (less rolling resistance).
