Here is what you do: Get an Optima Red Top 75/35 battery (75/35 is the size for any SAAB from C900 on. The is a true fully sealed, fully maintenance free battery. The technology of the Optima is such that it will probably last three times longer than a conventional "maintenace free" battery. It's a little more expensive than other batteries, but it is worth every penny - so just do it, do not mess with other cr@p batteries.
Where to buy: If you did not plan ahead and you need it yesterday, go to PeP Boys where you can find the Optima for about $120 +tax.
If you plan ahead go to Battery Service Corp (see link) and click on specials. The battery is $77.95 + delivery. I paid $95 including delivery.
BSC is an old-style company, so you have to order by phone. They are very nice on the phone.
