I have a 2000 9-5 Aero, ~57k miles. Was getting sever tire wear on inner edges, translating to extremely noisy tires. So, I got new tires and immediately went in for alignment. I discovered that the shops Hunter alignment machine had incorrect toe and camber specs.

Here are the correct ranges for an Aero according to WIS.
Front camber: -1.4 -0.4
Front caster: 2.4 3.4
Front toe: 0.035 0.06 in
Rear camber: -0.85 -1.35
Rear toe: 0.04 0.09 in

My initial values:
Front camber: L=-1.8, R=-1.0
Front caster: L=3.1, R=3.0
Front toe: L=0.04, R=0.22
Rear camber: L=-1.9, R=-1.9
Rear toe: L=0.1, R=0.1

To adjust rear camber, I personally installed 2 of the thick shims from genuine saab per side, which should in theory have brought me to -0.7. I also bought Eibach 5.81250K camber adjustment bolts for the front and had the alignment shop install them (which cost 1 hour of labor).

My results are:
Front camber: L=-0.7, R=-0.9
Front caster: L=3.0, R=3.1
Front toe: L=0.06, R=0.05
Rear camber: L=-0.7, R=-1.0
Rear toe: L=0.08, R=0.07

I am a little disappointed that the rear shims did not provide the expected adjustment on the right side, and now the rear camber is not even. I only got 0.9 deg adjustment on the right instead of 1.2. (Sounds like I put a thick+thin on the right instead of 2 thick, but I don't think so.) I was trying to go slightly less negative than spec because it naturally becomes more negative when the car is loaded.

I also wanted them to remove more of the negative camber on the front via the camber bolts. But the car drives well and everything is within spec except the left rear camber which is slightly less negative than spec.

Does anyone see anything in my final numbers that still needs attention? Should I be concerned about the 0.3 degree difference between the rear camber values? I do have a thin shim I could add to the right which might make both sides equal again, but I don't feel like taking it apart again if I don't have to, and I don't want to have to take the car in for another alignment.

Note that in my case installing the shims did apparently affect the rear toe, so in general I would suggest a realignment after installing shims.

Thanks!
