I also own '99 9-5 2.3SE Turbo now with 39k so I got a year or so to go but am getting "concerned." My 94 900s cost a fortune to make repairs on. Every repair is min $500. The Saab is starting to cost as much for parts as my '87 Carrera. And the 9-5 is LOADED with cool electronic gobeldygoop (VERY SCARY). Already, I have had a many small annoying things fixed under warr and now have 4-5 things on my list when I go in for 40k. eg, the AC LED display is malfunctioning, the blower is whining, there's a engine rattle, chronic sunroof rattle, the light wipers don't return all the way, etc etc etc. Just lots of little crapola that probably will cost hundreds (or a grand) to fix now. I am STRONGLY looking at ext warr to get me as many miles/years as I can with this thing. I have to assume everything will cost at least 2x in parts that the 94 900s cost. I plan on keeping car until the half-life of the raw materials causes the car to disintegrate (as I do with all my Saabs).
