So, here I am working up to another ignorant question about brakes...
The need for rotor replacement is very often caused by scarring or warping from worn out pads. If one doesn't wait until the rotors are damaged does it prolong their life to replace the pads or do the rotors essentially have the same life expectancy as the brake pads, thus requiring them to be changed together? I'm now thinking about the front end in particular but my interests include how the other half lives, as well.
