According to them the 9-5 from SAAB is
the most reliable car made in Europe
and the Audi 2.7T the worst. (Consumer Reports)
I now own a 9-5 Aero 5spd Sedan for
2 years (as of tomorrow I have it 2 years)
Problems so far:
a) Torque on rear subframe bolts needed to be adjusted (Warranty)
b) Torque on front subframe bolts needed to be adjusted (Warranty)
c) The OEM Tires needed to be replaced with Dunlops SP9000s due
to noise and a tendency of the Michelins to be punctured.
d) Carbon Dash discolored, new Dash under Warranty, new dash is
showing same signs now and might again be replaced under Warranty
this seems to be the only part that is not durable.
Car damage so far:
a) Nuked a Pigeon on the Autobahn 115Mph, this damaged
one front light and its wiper. Yep, it rained later during
that day...
My car has also received the Hirsch Leather interior and
the 260Hp upgrade for the 2000 9-5 Aero.
I am considerig a 280Hp upgrade from Hirsch and their
sports chasis upgrade as the 2000 models have a tendency
to roll more then I like above 100Mph.
I can only highly recommend the 9-5 Aero as Sedan or Wagon.
These cars are well build, fast, fuel efficient and reliable.
They are also easy to drive and with or without ESP they
have no nasty handling habits.
Regards,
Coolknight
