Use Alpins! I have Alpins on my '87 SAAB and '93 Volvo 940 Turbo Wagon!. Have both versions. Newer style on the '87, the older, resembles the Alpin "Pilot" on the wagon. Both offer great traction and reliability especially in the "south Buffalo" snow. Check out Tire Rack. For the 9-5, $ 97 for the 16" Alpin, alloy rim (cheapest on sale $119) includes free shipping mounting and balancing. I am considering using the OEM alloys as the snow rims, same as the factory and invest in a decent set for the summer. Tire Rack only offer 15" steel rims. Need wheel covers. The least expensive is steel. If damaged, rim may cost you about $50-75 used. Alloys are a bit more expensive. The choice is yours.
