Thanks Gary. I have new hoses coming. I have been looking for check valves, and found some GM parts on ebay for $7. Will give them a try in the other lines and post if they work. I was wondering if a leak into the vacuum pump could bump up the crankcase pressure. 4 cylinders and so much complexity! Thanks again for your input. chris
