Replacement of the high beam switch is easy as a DIY project. A variety (2-3) torx bits are required. The last time I replaced the assembly the cost was $75.00; europarts now lists it at $105.
Failure of te high beam switch is a little unusual. Further diagnosis should be undertaken before replacement. Failure of the orange relay can cause the same symptom and this can be fixed in a few minutes with a soldering iron.
