Factory rack is so much better... (rant)

... than the generic Thule + fit kit... we all knew this, but I want to reiterate it... I got my parents the Saab rack, but got the Thule generic for myself because it was cheap (got a fit kit for $10) + I can use the extra bar length...
anyway, here are the multitude of reasons to instead get the Saab rack:
I had to hammer 3 of the 4 towers onto the bars because the towers fit too tightly on the slightly used bars... it was easily an hour of hammering!
The rack rests on the roof with rubber pads, and deforms the roof if you get it too tight, but is easily not firm enough without some deformation. A very fine line! Wouldn't surprise me if it leaves marks on the roof also...
stupid plastic trim on the towers breaks *really* easily! 2 are now broken + this set was only installed once prior!
clips for the screwy bits seem to also break (2 were broken from last time)...
I've had good luck with other generic Thule products (eg the crossroads that go on the wagon rails + gutter mounts for the c900s), but these are junk... get the saab rack (made by thule) instead! only downside is the bars aren't quite as long as I'd like...
