DS1 replacement procedure

Hello, We're new owners of a 2005 9-5 Aero wagon. What a difference compared to our 2002 9-5 Linear wagon.
The left HID is going bad (blue/brown edging, flickering and occasional dropouts). Oddly, the right bulb only was replaced by the PO several months ago.
After searching here I cannot find the procedure for replacing the DS1 bulb. The owner's manual is particularly disappointing in that it says nothing but seek the help of a dealer. The posts are filled with color temperature options and warnings against cracking certain ceramic insulators and buying cheap lamps. I assume an Osram bulb (<$90) is quality enough.
Could someone provide the procedure or tell me where to find it?
Thanks. Kira
