one of the things we decided to do in additon to lightening the flywheel was to remove the balance shafts.
reasons: Less rotating mass
get rid of another set of chains
more response.
When you remove the balance shafts you also have to plug up the oil passages.
This meant some new bearings rotated 90 degrees in the balance shaft housings. We also plugged the oil gallery for the chain tensioner.
I will post photos when I figure out how to do this on this site!!
