My first thought was that something was amiss with that guide but it is still there, new as are all the other guide pieces. I'm just hoping it is something simple like that... maybe the tensioner spring is jammed or something. I can't see how it could ever happen but heaven knows I don't want to pull this engine because of some mishap during a "favor".
