They used a gasket up until VIN 23032250 and then anerobic sealant after that.
When searching make sure the posts are not talking about the 4 cyl engine which use sealant on all.
If an oil pan needs to be replaced on the older V6 you can only get the newer one and use sealer with that one.
I assume that the thickness of the gasket is enough to that it is not a good idea to skip it and use sealant since the bolt holes through transmission might not line up properly.
Reusing an old gasket is up to you, can't advice on that. It might work.
