Roger , The dealer was Suburban in Ann Arbor.Tfletch, the pricing was a little over 40% .
For those of you who may went a crash course, here is what I found in the process.
This applies just to the Turbo 4 model.
1. The 4 cylinder was only imported as 2011 model.
2. There are 2 versions Base and Premium. The differences are not necessarily obvious and I found many cars called Premium when in fact they were base. If you see the window sticker the MSRP for base is 38K and change the MSRP for Premium is 44K and change.
3. The standard transmission for base is manual, but there is no xtra charge for automatic. The premium is standard with automatic but standard is an option at no charge. In point of fact there are very few manual transmissions on the market. None were found on premium models which were not priced much higher.
4.The major items on the premium over base are:
Sunroof
Electronic key for door entry locking and engine starting. You keep the device in your pocket
Front and rear proximity alarm system
18" Tires
5.Most premium models have no further options but some do: Navigation Infotainment center appx $2300, Technology Package including xeon headlamps, lane monitor and Heads up display appx $2100 : U rail for the trunk appx $300 and if you have kids, rear seat screens and separate climate control for rear, appx $2400. I found one fully loaded Turbo 4 Premium and the sticker was $52,000.

There is no question that there are some risks. However I have run many used Saabs over the years, and I never had a warranty anyway. And I never needed any major repairs.

Bottom line is the 9-5 is a fantastic car and buying a new car these prices is too much to refuse.
