I have checked old posts for this issue; no luck. The "green" roller on the bottom of the window track (inside the door) has broken. This causes the window to work it's way out of the track on rising. I searched the local junk yard(only a 1984 OG 900) and found no direct replacement. On a "hunch" I pulled a late model (1998 Volvo Cross Country). Same "green" roller! But it was broken as well. Curiously, the entire Volvo regulator including the electric motor appeared to be identical to the SAAB. After 5 more Volvo doors I located an almost intact "green" roller. With no SAAB dealer within 500 miles, is there an alternative? I used a lot of white grease in the roller channel and the window works. But I know it is only a matter of time and a few hard door closings before next failure. The retaining pin is snapping in on one side of the roller. I never could get the ball pin on the window regulator to snap into the "green" wheel. Best regards, PFB.
