You can be in regular old Drive and push the car harder than you normally would and temperatures are going to increase. Fluid temperatures are not maintained at one constant temperature. There is a range of acceptable temperatures before you get idiot lights on the dash and I'm sure you're still well in that range. I've pushed my 9-5 to the point of having the turbo and downpipe glowing red (not difficult at all) and everything is still A-Okay.
