I'm using Griot's trim restorer on my 2000, working my way around the car here and there on weekends (don't have time to do it all at once, even though it goes pretty fast).
They sell a plastic trim cleaner/restorer and a bumper product that is basically a black dye. It works on the door handles (you need to apply it a couple times there though) and on the plastic trim & exposed seals. It wipes off of the paint, but I'm masking it anyway. I've only done the driver's side handles and the front bumper trim to see how it performs and it still looks good after a month or so.
My trim was/is to the point where you could see the mixing pattern of the original molded plastic. Armor-all or Mother's Back to Black only worked on it for about a week and even then not that well, and then the integral swirl pattern would show up again. Not as bad as what you see on 10yo Ovlovs, but bad enough to me.
The black Griot's doesn't work on the metal B-pillars for the early 9-5's, but it might work on the later ones that had the plastic covering. I tried it there and made a huge mess, then had to use rubbing alcohol to take it all back off. I the masked off the car and misted those with satin black paint, and they look amazingly good-- I was afraid they'd be too dark but they're not.
Bad light, but photo here is of the front bumper. The trim was a swirling combination of medium gray and dark gray before: http://uncannydrive.tumblr.com/post/21156014304/
(I "restored" the SAAB logo on the grill with some aluminum flashing tape, trimmed around the raised letters.)
