I bought mine for $4.99 at a tractor supply place(TSC). You'll need four collars. It'll just take whatever material is in there and compress it.

All depends on the size of the bump. It takes a small scale speed bump, common in Cleveland, to feel the firmness. Otherwise ride quality on normal surfaces is unchanged. Steering initial turn-n is nice and responsive.
