Dumb Tech2 transmission question

I am pretty sure I know the answer already but would need to ask just to cover my bases.
Is there a Tech2 code that could be referred to as 'slippage?'
2002 9-5 auto with transmission that will not go into first or gain traction in reverse. I can put it in Winter mode and it will start me off in 3rd, or if in normal mode it will start in 2nd if I roll from a stop and the speed hits about 20mph. This is 2-3 months after having the transmission software updated at the same dealer. When I took it in, they said without even looking at the car that 'it has codes.' I asked for more detail and they took it to their Saab-specific tech and when they brought it back I asked what 'codes' it showed and the guy said 'slippage'. I asked three times and was told each time that the code was 'slippage.' When I look on WIS, the codes are all numbered, there is not one called 'slippage' and all of the transmission codes except one say that the gearbox and/or CEL would be on, neither of which is the case.
Personally, I don't think they did the adaptation driving sequence after updating the software, but they are saying they did. I know the transmission is probably dead or almost deal due to mileage, but I would at least like to know the truth so I don't give up on it too early. Thanks! -JerryC
