I second putting it in your 9-5, unless that car has a recent battery, too. And by "recent", I mean 18 months or less. You'll get far more life from it if you use it regularly.
Otherwise, get a battery maintainer. I use one from Schumacher Electric, called the SE-1-12S ($21 at Amazon! - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000AXTUY/ref=as_li_tf_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B0000AXTUY&linkCode=as2&tag=thesaabnetwork). It's basically a sealed "puck" with a short 110V plug out one end, and two wires with ring terminals out the other. It comes with a bracket that you can arrange in an "L" shape so that the battery holds the charger into the car.
For your purpose, just get a couple battery terminal clamps, and connect the ring terminals to those.
In one of my 9-5s, I have it mounted like that. It doesn't even get in the way of the plastic battery cover. When needed, I pop the hood, and connect an extension cord to it.
I've also had one in my Mom's 1990 900S for 20 years or thereabout. It kept the last battery going for fourteen years! That one has a 110v plug that sticks out by the left signal cluster.
