V6 Turbo Coolant Leak?

The bottom of the Garrett GT17 turbo on my 2000 9-5 wagon is covered with white deposits
and every few weeks I get the low coolant warning. The coolant lines in and out of the turbo aren't leaking and there aren't any visible coolant leaks in that area as far as I can see. Could
an internal seal in the turbo be responsible? I've removed the turbo air inlet and the impeller shaft has a bit of side play but no end play to speak of; no other signs of turbo failure are evident. I'm hoping someone has had the same issues. Thanks in advance.
