This link is extremely helpful - I appreciate it. Today, I pulled the top of the timing belt cover on the 94 900 V6 and the belt isn't broken... which is good. I will check the alignment with notches on that one.
Also, thanks to the other member for the info on the 900 engine. I did a little more research, too. Interesting stuff, all of this. I'll keep people posted as to how things go.
