Valve Cover Gasket R&R question Posted by saabniner [Email] (#617) [Profile/Gallery] (more from saabniner) on Mon, 1 May 2017 09:50:11 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
all torx bolts removed, DIC, now down to the black hard plastic or metal hose which comes from the back of the engine over the passenger side of the valve cover to the air intake downstream of the MAP sensor. In past Saabs this has been a banjo bolt that was simple to remove, but this one just inserts into the housing and when I pull it straight up it will not come out easily. It has a red plastic collar around it and I'm concerned that if I pull too hard it might break. Any suggestions on this? Can I use a tool as a lever without breaking anything? Looks like an oil trap hose #5961610 according to Eeuroparts illustration. I can't see anything on the inlet side that looks complicated, going to try again to pull it out.
