This is an interesting thread.
I'm thinking my 2001 9-5 Aero stick was fairly low miles when I replaced the other 3 engine mounts, and they carried more of the task and this why my rear mount at 183,000 appears fine (or was when I was replacing the failed oil sending unit, right in the same area).
And I'm thinking the when the 9-5 was reworked, they massively upgraded the motor mount under the battery tray, once again taking a lot of stress of this rear mount. Btw, when I replaced the upper tranmission (under the battery) mount on the 9-5 Aero stick, it was completely disrupted - torn basically apart.
And finally my cars are long distance cars, mostly, not so much hard launches and so forth. so, there's that.
I've been sitting on a new in box rear mount for 2-3 years now, kind of waiting to need it. Next time I'm under the 2001, I'll replace the rear mount no matter what and if it is still pretty nice, maybe I'll start a thread about it. I had this rear mount completely out of the 2004 Arc (automatic) last time I replaced the alternator and could not reasonably fault it - Maybe 180,000 at the time?
