I then compared the diameter of the tube to the diameter of the threaded drain plug, and found the tube to have a larger OD!
How did others get their salvaged tubes to fit? Cut off the large tube end bulge? Use crimping pliers to make the tube end smaller?
It is not advisable to drill out the hole to make it larger.
