Bad blower motor? Posted by Snowmobile [Email] (#686) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Snowmobile) on Mon, 8 Jan 2018 19:32:43 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Car windows were fogging up tonight - noticed the fan was not blowing. Messing with ACC settings, in manual fan speed and regardless of how the air was directed (dash vents, lower vents, at the windshield), I could not hear the fan no matter what fan speed. I can feel hot air slowly rising from the vents but no velocity pushing it.
Ran an ACC test and got 0.
This may be intermittent because it seemed fine earlier in the evening (no fogging anyway). My wife said she had a similar issue earlier in the day while driving the car.
Obviously it isn't safe driving around with the windows fogged up so I need to fix this pronto. Anyone run into this before? From a search I'm guessing blower motor brushes... or a bad connection somewhere?
Car battery is a little weak - I'm planning on replacing that soon also (has been fairly cold here recently, but warm today). I think we got 7 years on that battery so I think we got our money's worth ;-). Other than the fan, the car started and ran fine today (now that it is no longer -20 out)...
