steering click permanant solution Posted by don m [Email] (#1349) [Profile/Gallery] (more from don m) on Fri, 19 Jul 2019 12:48:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I have two 9.5s. On my '01 wagon I've never had a problem with the notorious steering click. My wife's '04 Aero is a different story. I finally got tired of cleaning and regreasing the joint every few months so this time I removed the aluminum female portion of the assembly, drilled two 1/4-20 holes in it and installed two set screws. No more slop. And if the screws ever loosen up they are easy to get at without removing the lower panel.
Any comments on this idea? Good? Bad? (The law of unintended consequences keeps running through my head.)
