I looked up on the Gates site and in their generic instructions they say to hand spin the pump about 10 times before starting engine to ensure the bearing and seals are "primed" with coolant. Since this is a V6 pulling the thermostat is a big deal and something I'd like to avoid. I'm going to fill it with coolant mix and let it sit, then spin the pump by hand. I'll look if there's somewhere near the pump I can add coolant to ensure it gets in there, not sure. Thanks.
