Got a '01 aero 5speed 114k on the clock. It won't run. I bought it like this believing it was just a bad pump at the time. Changed the pump nothing. Swapped the throttle body nothing. It will crank. When I disconnect the battery for a few mins then connect it again and switch to acc 3 times then try to start it it will start and then immediately die and just crank until I do that entire process again and get the same results.
Before I pulled the original throttle body, which was exceptionally clean I might add, I noticed it was in limp home. Reset it and still the same thing as above. I swapped in the second throttle body which is known to be good, connected the battery turned the key and it immediately sent the throttle into limp home. Reset it and got the same starting results as above. Then after that it just continues to send the throttle into limp.
I also have a problem with the alarm. It does absolutely nothing when I push the fob button. New battery in fob. The central button on the center console also does nothing. I have power on both sides of the fuse but my passenger seat does not move. Not sure if I'm not getting power to the seat which is also the TWICE fuse or if its just the seat.
I was told that it can't be the TWICE because if it was it would keep the car from even cranking but I believe the twice has a little something to do with this since I get no reaction out of it at all. Is there anything I can do without a tech2 at this point? Hell is there anything I can do at all at this point? I'm a up north guy (why I drive SAABs) that now lives in a small South Carolina town with no access to a tech2. 9 SAABs in my 21 years of driving and this is the first one to have me stumped on what's going on. I'm lost on what else to try.
