Yes, you can use pistons with con rods (older pistons are higher) from any B2x4 in B2x5. Making "hybrid" B2x4 (block) / B2x5 (head) is quite popular as cheap high HP capable engine. B2x4 pistons are heavier so expect revving, fuel consumption and vibration to be slightly worse (just as it was in 9000/900NG). As a reward you will get reliability. If I remember well B2x4 head gasket should be used to avoid piston/valve collision.
