slow .. refueling... Posted by mlc [Email] (#1747) [Profile/Gallery] (more from mlc) on Tue, 12 Jul 2022 09:51:24 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
A while back the small cap broke off the funnel I was using to add some injector cleaner to my tank, and ever since, it now takes forever to refuel.. I believe the cap is causing some backpressure, which prevents one from fully pulling on the trigger of the fuel pump handle.. I'm guessing the cap is lodged somewhere between the filler neck and the entry to the tank.. causing the backpressure.
I've debated trying to remove the filler neck and hose leading into the tank.. but it doesn't look like hose connecting to the tank is very accessible. Is there an easy way to remove that hose, or do I need to drop the tank itself to get at it? The connection appears to be a conventional clamp.
Also, does my thinking make sense in that the hose itself a clear run to the tank.. or is there some type of valve/flap up near the filler neck that would stop the cap from making its way down near the tank.. in which case.. maybe i can just remove the filler neck to get at it?
