Occassional no start in morning, and now P0303, P0134 CEL's Posted by mlc [Email] (#1747) [Profile/Gallery] (more from mlc) on Sat, 24 Sep 2022 13:54:29 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hey folks..
The last few months, I've experienced hard start issues on several occasions after the car sits overnight. I'll try it 3 or 4 times, with no luck, but eventually if I wait 5 or 10 minutes, it eventually starts.
CPS was already replaced, with not help.. Today I also received 2 CEL codes, a P0134 and P0303 after experiencing another hard start this morning.
My initial thoughts on the hard start problem were a fuel pump check valve. However I would have though after trying 3 or 4 times to prime it.. it would start up.. which is not the case.. I usually have to wait around 10 minutes to try it again, and then it starts. So I'm wondering if the fuel pump could be in play?
I'm guessing the P0303 misfire code and P0134 are coincidental, and not directly related to the hard start issue? Perhaps a faulty DIC? The plugs are only a couple of months old.. and O2 sensors were replaced with Bosch sensors.. around 20k miles ago.. I've read about the J16 junction, possibly causing the P0134 code? so I should probably take a peek at the fix as well?
Thoughts ?
