Hello,
Good to see you found some modules for a 2002. As far as taking apart the TCM, I was checking out one I had laying around and yes it appears they didn't make it easy to open them up. Strange though that the 9-3 ss with the 5 speed auto use a TCM that looks the same. That TCM is located in the engine bay and I have never seen this same behavior due to heat. Maybe a TCM or a valve body will fix the issue? Good Luck, Bernie
