Hello,
Sometimes it does enough to see it but not always. That is why I always try the starter or carb and choke in the manifold to see if it fires. NG 900's are also notorious for the electrical portion of the ignition switch so I usually check voltage at one the fuses for T5 when cranking to make sure it is atleast 10.5v if I am getting ready to call for a CPS. Hope this answers your question. Good Luck,
Bernie
