mb,
When you are referring to the radiator cooling fans, you mean both low speed and high speed fan functions are working?
Engine coolant temp gauge would be in a midway position anywhere from 78C - approx 113C That's rather a big range.
From WIS - Low On/Off cooling fans +/-2 100C/+/-1 96C and High On/Off cooling fans +/-2 113C/+/-109C and reaches red zone at +/-2.5 129C and coolant boiling point of 131C.
Dice is programmed if engine is hotter than usual, depending on if AC is on/off to energize cooling fans for certain number of seconds/minutes depending on coolant temperature at engine shut down.
Other than Open SID or Tech2 option, for your peace of mind you can connect OBD2 ELM327 dongle to DLC paired with your cell's phone app - TORQUE to name one of many out there and read your engine coolant temperature that way if you have concerns.
Best of luck, Ro
