Hello,
If it was a key issue you probably would get a "key not accepted" message on the SID. I would check fuse 30 in the fuse box at the end of the dash. Check for power there when the key is in the start position. This checks the ignition switch electrical portion. After fuse 30 the signal goes through the neutral safety switch before it activates the starter relay. If you have power at the fuse and it doesn't start you can try putting the transmission in neutral instead of park and see if it starts.
After those checks you are sort of down to trying to jump the starter or see if power is being supplied on the little yellow wire to activate the starter. Remember you should check the battery, starter, battery cables as well for possible problems not allowing the car to activate the starter. Good Luck, Bernie
