Dog Leg repair panel

My 2004 9-5 has to have the rear dog leg repaired. Searching for the dog leg repair panel is turning up nothing, either not in stock or back ordered.
Anyone know of a source for them?
Also, one body shop I took the saab to said they would cut out the rusted area, and use a high strength bonding adhesive to attach the panel, and weld in any repair metal around the mounting points if necessary. At first blush, it looks like the frame area where the suspension bolts to is in fairly good shape.
Anyone know if this bonding approach to repair is any good?
The shop claims that welding in parts on the body skins can tend to cause ripples due to the heat and this bonding approach is just as strong.
They offer a 3 year rust repair warranty - rust must show through the panel they install.
Thoughts on this repair approach?
thanks
